Couch to 5K Podcast – A Guide for Every Run

If you’re just getting started as a runner or want to get back in shape, our Couch to 5K Training Plan may be just for you. A great addition to your training is this simple series of episodes designed to coach you as you run each session of the C@5K plan.

If you’d like an audio guide in your ear as you train for your 5K this podcast from the U.K. National Health Service (NHS) can be an invaluable partner for your journey.

Your host is Laura, and in each episode she actually tells you when it’s time to run and when it’s time to walk. It was originally published in 2012 but there’s really nothing that dates it or makes it less valuable.

If you are looking for a free and friendly way to assist with your 5K training, give the first episode a lesson and see if it’s for you.

Tread Lightly – with Amanda Brooks & Laura Norris, MS

The hosts of Tread Lightly share a combined 20 years of coaching experience and discuss common issues everyday runners have about training, nutrition, injury prevention and more. Each episode is about 30 minutes and they pack in a lot of good information in that time. They do have expert guests from time to time and keep their focus on science based research and methods for becoming a better runner. Give this podcast a shot. You’re bound to find something valuable just based on the episode titles alone.
